so i'm off for surgery at some point in september to whip out the nasty Crohns bit of my belly. fantastic- slighty nervous about the being chopped up but i could not have a better team for my op if my mummy had hand picked them (she works in the theaters in the hospital)- top surgeon and choice of 2 brilliant anaesthatists who know my mum will hurt them if they break me :) perfect!

but! i will be out of action for 2 months (so expect even more champdoggage when i am recouperating) and on sick pay :( now sick pay is a wonderful thing, all hail social security, but its £75 a week, which is not a lot to live on especially as i will be back at work only slightly before christmas :(

so being a practical person i can tanking in the overtime at work- knackering yes, probably making me more ill, yes, but i feel fairly needed and worth it- IF THEY WOULD PAY ME RIGHT!!!!

missing a fair whack of my wages this week which i can't get back till next friday- rents due this weekend (thankfully i have it already but they don't know that), i have bills that are due and its the end of my partners pay month so essentially bills are on me (we have an arrangement). raging and upset- they simply don;t care that they are messing about with people lives (this is i assure you not a one off- there was quite a queue this morning about wages)

anyone else driven to distraction by incompetant employers?

Good luck with you operation I am sure it will all be worthwhile in the end.

As to your employer they have to abide by the contract signed with you in just the same way as you do, you will not feel up to it now but when you are back to normal you could report your employers if they are consistently not paying you according to your contract, you may even be able to do it anonyms.

Good luck with your surgery, comforting to know your mum is able to know whose best to have around. Occasionally when in icu I make a mental note of which of the doc's and nurses I would wish to have around should the worst happen.

best of luck with your op, loved the comment about your Mum. after its over and your arriving home make sure you go in, sit down and put at least 2 pillows over your 'delicate area', befor your big lad comes in to say hello mum - voice of experience after hysterectomy!
Good luck, Chris

*GOOD LUCK* with the op! Just think you'll feel so much better once its done, and you know you've got a good'un operating on you :-) And think of all that additional Champdogs time!!

Fraid I dont know much about sick pay/wages - but dont go back until you're completely ready and fighting fit, you don't want to make yourself poorly!

Hows your bullie by the way? Lovely looking lad on your avatar :-)

thinking i'll get them to have him on lead. will be going to mum and dads to be kept an eye on as liam still needs to be working so the girls will be there to, but not concern about them in the least, i imagine they will come and sit sedately by me for a stroke. sweet girlies :)
