Too right! His fortune was built long before he met her - probably before she was even born! So to claim any right to it is downright gold-digging.

I think that she would have been better thought of had she asked for nothing!  Billie Piper claimed nothing of Chris Evans' fortune and she has done really well for herself since through her own efforts and is better thought of by everyone!

Although i suppose Paul isnt completely innocent. Think he's gone down in peoples estimations aswell. hes come across as a silly old man. everyone warned him yet he didnt make her sign a pre-nup. Hope he's learnt his lesson & others will hopefully learn from his mistake.

true, but if i met a man that had that much money i woud be fine with signing a pre nup.Wouldnt dream of taking money that was earnt before i met him. Like wise i would expect someone to sign one if i were to get married and have that much money in the bank (i wish :-) )

I just heard a radio interview with her, having a good rant about how she's pleased with the amount but it does mean her daughter will no longer be able to fly first class with that low amount (???) She then went on to break down all the costs of flying first class for her daughter and that she's saddened that it's no longer to be.....

Give me strength.

Just listening to her interview on TV ...I feel sorry for the poor daughter, apparantly she will end up with only 35k a year to live on ....hmmm ...me and Stephens combined wages are only 32k and we bloody work HARD for that AND we keep two kids and 3 dogs and a mortgage going

I'd go against the grain and say good luck to her. Neither of them appeal to me particularly, and have heard that both are horrible/lovely depending on who's talking, but none of us know the truth of it anyway so would take it all with a pinch of salt.

He was old enough to know what he was getting in to, and he chose to have a child with her, so I'd say he got away relatively lightly.

It's worked out she's earned £700 per hour for the time they were married - marginally better than those of us who've worked for the minimum wage!  

I believe that was the amount that he agreed to in the first place, so she's put everyone through the courts to get the settlement that he wanted.

Sorry can't stand her and I hope she does move abroad let some other tax payers pay for her bills.

It was his choice, no one forced him to marry her, or have a child. On his own head be it...he is an adult, resonsible for his own choices, and I dont see why  I should feel sorry for him for making them.....I mean he must be down to his last few tens of millions, how sad.

The stupid woman, she is complaining about 35k a year child maintenance??? She wants to try bringing her child up with no help whatsoever. Which coincidentally she could afford to do with no problems at all after that big payout she got from him.

That's the thing she asked for loads of money for wine but apparently she doesn't drink.  According to the stuff published the judge didn't think very highly of her

I think she is awful,and shouldnt have custody of that little girl. His lawyer should have her charged with assault after she emptied a jug of water over her. What kind of behaviour is that? She should sue her for the stress and humiliation she caused by her actions. Preferably in the region of £25 million.My sympathies are with Paul. He thought he was getting someone of the same ilk as Linda,but how wrong he was. Every penny of his money was earned long before he met her,so why was she entitled to any of it?
He should only be paying for his child,not that goldigging madwoman.

Custody is awarded on the basis of good motherhood...and the judge, and mccartney, and his lawyers have never disputed that she is a good mother. The courts have obviously decided that the child should stay with her mother, and I suggest that YOU do not know enough to make a custody judgement. Fortunately, in this country children are not ripped away from their mothers based on what is printed in the newspapers, nor on say so of those silly enough to believe that newspapers actually give the true facts. IF Heather Mills were truly an unfit mother, then you can believe that the McCartney lawyers would have already made sure that she did not have custody. Chucking a jug of water over someone isnt great I admit, but if children were taken from their parents after every misdemeanour, then about 80 % of children would be in care. Well the judgement made very interesting reading ;)  The media don't need to dress things up and twist them, the way they do, she was her own worst enemy, simply reporting what was said by the judge would have been enough ;)

£35k a year won't even begin to cover the cost of the therapy that child will need as a result of having HM as a mother! Poor kid.

the point I am trying to make is that regardless of what happened in court, or any other behaviours, it does not necessarily mean a person is going to be a bad mother. In the same way that someone who is a genuinely nice person might turn out to be a terrible parent. None of us know what kind of mother she is, but the fact that she has custody would indicate that there is no evidence she is bad. I also think that she is stressed to the point of being ill......and that the water throwing incident is more likely to be related to that than pure bad behaviour. I once got so stressed I became really ill and obsessive so i can sympathise.
It surprises me that people are so quick to judge HM...yet voice support to other parents, the mccanns, who left their children alone. It interests me why people pick and choose in this way....and thats not sarcasm or pointed at anyone in particular. Its just a reflection on how people judge others, but based on inconsistent criteria.

No-one knows what is and isn't the truth and that poor child will have to learn about all of this nastiness when she is older. :-(
