In my area there are lots of different breeds - the two most common are westies, labs, and jack russells (ok, not a KC breed, but nonetheless.) Most common mixed breed (which are not that common here) are staffy crosses.
... but seen on a regular basis, Newfies, Bernese Mountain dogs, German Shepherds, shih tzus, springers, goldens, flat coated retrievers, sibes, basset hounds, beagles, dachshunds (minature and regular), greyhounds, lurchers (ok, not a KC breed again), Rhodesian Ridgebacks, whippets, english setters, australian terriers, yorkshire terriers, Vizslas, american cocker spaniel, weimaraner, border terrier, cairn terriers (and not just my own), Glen of Imaal Terrier (1 only, but I see him a lot!), airedale terrier, (1) boston terrier, lhasa apso, mini schnauzers (quite a few), giant schnauzer (1 lovely young bitch), poodles (mini), Shar pei (1), Tibetan Terriers, Boxers, Dobermans, Malamutes, Malinois, Border Collies, OEs, Shetland sheep dog, Bichon frise, Cavelier King Charles ...
Even I am surprised at the list - these are all dogs I see on a regular basis. Which I think says something about the socio-demographic makeup of my patch in Surrey!
