
My stepsister and her OH both went on the South Beach diet to lose weight, and both lost a LOT. Don't know how much, but Dom (stepsister) has always been a big girl - she's now almost a supermodel! But still healthy :-P
They're both uber fit now too, apparently they were at my dad's in Spain this past weekend, and they both did a 10 mile run the evening they got there, then Simon (the OH) went out for a 3 hour run the next morning. And in the pool when he got back! He was out sharpish though - it being winter, he hadn't realised how cold it was in there :-P
I've had an awful week - the cravings were so bad last Wednesday I literally couldn't do anything, I was sat in front of my computer, head in hands, total brain block. Caved and got some mini-eggs with the best intentions of starting afresh the next day. As predicted, cue the one-week binge. I have half a huge bag of min eggs in front of me right now.
I will start again tomorrow - I was feeling really good before I slipped but I feel crappy again now. On the upside, I lost 2lbs last mon/tues and I've not put it back on by some miracle! And with my chiropractor OKing me working out again, I can really get going now. I need to do my 'prescribed' exercises in a mo anyway, I'm going to do them then hop on my exercise bike before dinner. I was good last night - I had healthy living tikka with prawns and squid (that was an adventure!!). :-)
Off to the doctor's tomorrow though - since NY eve I've been painfully thirsty (literally) in the mornings and overnight and the sides of my neck are sore. Was ill properly on NYE. It'll be a good kick up the hiney - good diet equals good health after all!
