hi all wondered if anyone has tried this for mild depression, and what your views on it are, also does it take long to work?

I found it helpful, but you have to remember that it's not without side-effects, and shouldn't be combined with certain other medications.

One of the best things for mild depression if you are able is excercise ! :)

I know my sister who has severe depression on and off has tried SJW and it didn't agree with her.

What everybody here is raving about is called 'Happy Days' from the Healthspan people............
I am taking Prozac via G.P but I know of a lot of folk using this and swearing by it!

I have found it fantastic & also have been advised to take Fish Oil capsules (the really expensive ones that you can buy in Boots).  Also any bright coloured fruit & vegetables - particularly bananas help. 

Yes excercise is a real help but I ended up going to my doctor saying I can't spend ALL day excercising & the "rush" of good feeling only last for so long, that's when she recommended all the above.  This time of year is obviously worse for some people, I know my parents use a SAD lamp unfortunately I don't get much chance to sit down so it wouldn't be much help to me.

I tried SJW but found it didn't make much difference. I've heard of the Happy Days stuff, is it 5 HTP or something like that, or have I made that up?
