
Was going to say the same. If it was due to primary Inertia this can be hereditary.
I had a C section with one of my girls for her third and last litter. she had not had a litter for 3 1/2 years and it was a small litter, and the labour just didn't progress. Now if this had been a first litter I may not have bred from her, but it was her last.
Mine is a normally easy whelping breed, and her daughter had no problems whelping nor did two generations of bitches after that, nor any problems whelping with a daughter in Australia.
Had this been a breed where Inertia at whelping is often a problem, then I would not have bred from a bitch with this problem again, and possibly not from her offspring.
I would be looking at your bitches female relatives, did her Mother/sisters/ maternal aunts etc have problem free whelpings, if so I would try again.
