i have a year old rescue cat, who is a stunning blue colour with almond eyes ( cant get a photo on at the moment) he is quite large and has velvet fur. i rescued him thinking he was a blue tabby moggy, however as he has grown he has some charcahteristics of a blue and the tabby matkings have gone. (apart from faint markings on his tail)
but he doesnt have the big head, i have been told that british blue pets are not usually castrated until 7 months of age, wheras he was 5 months, so i suppose that could account for the head.
a friend who has seen him and has blues herself , thinks he could be a blue, however im not convinced- i have heard there is a french equivilant that describes him better. does anyone know their name or what these look like? or their charachteristics,
Caiden loves fuss and attention and unlike alot of cats will willingly be picked up and fussed, he loves water (has joined me in the bath and loves playing in the empty bath.water doesnt faze him, he loves going out in the rain and getting wet, the first few times he came in wet i dried him, but he went straight out and got wet again so in the end i gave up. he also comes when called , which is handy for when he needs to go to the vets - daft cat :D
do these charchteristics sound familiar to anyone?
i love him whatever he is , but it would be interseting to know his parentage if possible
wow- you are clever!! :D
that describes Caiden to a T. and looks just like him too! dont think they are common though, wonder how he ended up in a skip? would have thought there were few breeders and those that were about would be careful about there kittens?
not casting aspersions on any moggie owners, but its usually those that end up dumped.
he might be.
ive just googled now i know the name looked at lots of different sites cant beleive how much he looks like them and the description describes him perfectly, looks, behaviour and temperament- wow the average size for males is 12-16lbs. i hope he gets this big, i love big cats.:)
thanks again for your help.
