I can't get a grip of things - house is a tip, beds unmade, breakfast dishes still on the table. What with the awful news about Sophie and spent yesterday comforting a friend who has just lost her husband. He was diagnosed only 3 weeks ago with cancer and passed away on Monday aged 42. They say God takes the best ones first and he certainly has on this occasion :-( I keep filling up with tears and feel so low.

Sod  the housework ;) Your health comes first. I've spent years coping with various levels of depression (mine and my daughters) so know how you are feeling. I found the best way was to take the dogs for a walk. I used to walk for hours. Take time out for yourself, find a good friend to talk to, and forget the bl**dy housework. You have to allow yourself to grieve for lost loved ones, human and animal. It will get better.

Hi Luvhandles, (Hayley)
Sorry to hear about your friends husband, it is very sad when people pass away young.
You deserve to take things easy today, relax with a nice cup of coffee put your feet up!  Or I find walking my dogs in an empty field very relaxing, just watching them roam around sniffing and watching the birds and squirrels!
RELAX AND TAKE THINGS EASY TODAY we are all entitled to a day off

Hayley - just leave it - go and sit down and just relax - nothing is going to go anywhere and it won't hurt not to do it will it!

I had a really bad day one weekend and I just laid on the bed watching TV - felt so much better after - OH cooked the tea which was great.

Sometimes we just need to let our bodies and minds tell us when to just forget about the every day things and have time to ourselves.

Let the tears flow if you need too.

Hugs to you at this sad time.

xx

Poor you - I agree with everybody else .  Forget the housework - forget responsibility - just indulge - be it a sleep - a walk - watch telly - just relax and give your mind and body the energy back to be able to cope.

best wishes

The housework will be there tomorrow, or the next day, or the next day. It is more important that you feel up to it. So sorry that all the news you have had has all been bad.

I'm a bit like that since my Dad died, I start something then don't finish it off, because the will to do it has gone. I'm not worrying about it though it will all get done & the furkids are here to make sure I have to get up each day & look after them

So sorry that you are so low today..........It really is okay to be like that, and understandable too, I have no advice as we are all different and have differing ways of coping.
Just allow the housework to stay undone, dishes can stay on the table and will still be there when you're ready for them.
Have lot's of hugs from me and  I really hope you feel better soon

Dont know if it will help at all but theres a programme on tv tonight on channel 4 at 9-00, called 'Only human'........its a one off documentary following a group of people who have all lost their partners suddenly in their early 30's but are determined to pick up the peices and make the most of their life. They find humour in adversity and reveal the milestones that they are forced to confront, from birthdays to Christmas and fathers day!  I know how you feel as my mum died 7 years ago and it often threatens to bring me down but i have to push it behind me else i wouldnt be able to cope......im expecting lots of tears tonight!
