I'm planning on starting agility with my Dobermann (he's just over 2 1/2). I've been doing a bit of reading around and see that some people give even their young dogs a glucosamine/chondroitin supplement to help with the stress on the joints. I initially thought it was just for older dogs, but am wondering if it might be beneficial for him re the agility, plus in light of his tendency to tear round after rabbits, jump over various obstacles in his way

etc. Am I right in thinking that even if it does no good, it can't do any harm..? With have an appointment at the vets next week anyway so I'll ask there, just after opinions really.
Thanks :D
