The poll is too biased. My personal stance is that I don't like the idea at all, and I think that pharmaceuticals should be investing more into developing alternatives and should be more strigent about applying the three 'R's, but that I wouldn't refuse life-saving treatment for myself or my loved ones or *anyone* because it had been developed using animal research. I admire people whose morals are strong enough to do so, but it's not my case.

They should use human volunteer's instead.I am sure there would be plenty who would do it for a small fee,or even for free.
I can not handle the thought of monkeys,dogs,cats or any animal with such intelligence and trust as these animals housed in tiny cages 24/7, poked and prodded and put through pain,all in all live a completely miserable life,all for the benefit of a completely different species to themselves,the selfish,self destructive human race!
