Got my results yesterday.  The lump that the consultant removed was malignant:(, he also said the lump had got storks growing from it.  I have to start chemotherapy in the next fortnight as a precautionary measure. He said that everything visible to the human eye to do with the lump was removed but the chemo is for any microscopic cells etc that could not have been seen.  The consultant though was wonderful and I have nothing but praise for him.  He offered me counselling to talk about not being able to have children of my own. There is a 24 hour support team for the oncology department too so that is good.  I feel as positive as I can be i suppose.  I know that the chemo is not going to be nice but the only way i can look at it is that it a means to an end and that it is extra medicine.

What an emotional roller-coaster for you, Michelle. :( Hopefully chemo will get you in the clear before too long. {{{{{hug}}}}}

Hi  Michelle,

Your in my thoughts and prayers - you're going through a helluva time but sound as though you're coping so much better than many could.  Try and stay positive -  I've known several people beat this disease and they had a very positive outlook, just like you, about the chemo etc. and we're all here rooting for you ;)

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Michelle, I will be praying for you and know how hard it is to stay positive about these things...If you have a bad day, let it happen, lean on those that know and understand you, let their love surround and support you and never ever be afraid to admit you're afraid or upset! I admire you tremendously and I'm amazed at your capacity to stay positive, GOD BLESS YOU!!! Love Dawn XX :cool:

Hi Michelle,

Ditto what everyone has said as they have all said it so well :-)

Your a brave person. I do really hope at times the saying a problem shared is a problem halved is true in these times.

Chin up you will scare anything away with such a positive attitude :-)

Hugs Pam

Oh Michelle, that's terrible news. It will be hard but try to keep those spirits and hopes up. It sounds like you have already gotten in touch with a support group to help you through this all- that's good. My company sells products that help find those metastatic cells and I find this site very informative if you want to know about the science. I'll be sending healing thoughts your way.
