If I was working in someones house and I wanted to take this out, how much would it cost me I wonder. Has anyone any ideas.

Are you self employed?  If not, it is your Employer's responsibility to take out a Public Liability Insurance which would then cover you, the cost can vary as to the nature of the business.

Im thinking of starting a painting and decorating business, so I will be self employed.

My OH has this and it costs him about £230 per annum. That includes his employers liability too though.

my OH is a carpet & upholstery cleaner & his PLI is around £120 for himself  :)

We have a mobility business and ours is around £1500.00 per annum.

my oh has it for his business & its about £150 so not expensive & so worth the peace of mind.:cool:
