Molla,
hopefully this'll help you out, My reference is Caroline Kisko of Polarnights (she's been a Crufts Judge for Sibes 2005 I think)
-Sibes in the UK should be shown 'au naturel' unlike the States whiskers should NOT be trimmed, it is acceptable for feet to be trimmed to neaten, but many believe thats a sign of not getting good excercise ;) ) NO other trimming is permissable.
- she also says she still sees many badly groomed and "frankly dirty" Sibes in the ring and this is an insult to the judge and dog. (

) she reccomends bathing 3 days before shows to allow coat to settle. (shorter coat the day before)
to be honest IMO (and vast majority of other as many show Sibes are workers too) I dont like this repeated washing of Sibes,I believe it goes against the dogs coat purpose, a Sibe coat will be naturally clean, sand etc fall out this is due to and
essential to preserve the coats insulating properties!!
I think your best bet is to have a good chat with your clients and gauge their knowledge they may well be just expecting a wash and blaster!! (I hope so anyway ;) )
HTH :D
and forgive me but...ROFL @ Caileag!! *I can stop biting my tongue now its been said :P *
