It doesn't work like that. You can bet your life anyone with a litter that can be KC reg will be as they will be cheaper if they are not as they don't have veriufiable background.
This is the sole reason some of these alternatives have for existence, people think they are getting something they are not.
Also I don't think there is a database all the so called breeder does is give the names they fancy, and the sme parents can end up with different names each time they are bred from.
With the KC database, they are relying on honesty as regards which pair were actualy mated to gether (need signature of both parties owners) but you will ahve on record the age the bitch was bred from, how many litters, what helath tests were doen on the parents and their parents and so on back. there is no other UK orgaisation that has this, (except the ISDS for Sheepdosgs, which is very strict in it's registration criteria), and certainly no other that organises that covers al the working and show disciplines.
In the USA things are rather different, some the alternative registries there do organise shows, and working activities, often including breeds not yet recognised, or on a different system to the AKC, the UKC offer Champion titles etc and are often more like our own shows where most exhibitors are owners rather than a lot of pro hqandlers. Sadly they also have ones that are purely to give puppy mill pups some sort of credibility to buyers who don't know better.
