I have at least 6 on my breed alone (probably most of those ever written). I have various encyclopaedias, behaviour books, Kenenl Club Breed standards and read anything I can get my mits on.
I have stacks of dogs Monthlies, Dogs Todays, two Polish monthly dog magazines, Kennel Gazzettes etc etc.
Then I have the Year books for my breed club going back to the 1930's and all the ones since the 60's.
I would alwyas advice anyone with a serious interest in their breed to join the breed club and get as mush historical publications produced by them as they can.
Not only will this give you articles about the breed, but through adverts by breeders over the years yu can see how particular dogs, lines and the breed as a whole develops.
Also attend seminars, not just those run by your own breed club.
I have attended some fantastic ones run by my regional Doberman Breed club. The ones on Wobblers, eye diseases and Hd given by experts in their firelds, as well as the ones organised by the Kennel Club for breeders and owners.
The dog papers heve a column each week entitled chances to learn where these seminars and talks are lited.
