Except not african :D
Jethro Tull...longtime fan say about since 1975. Recently downloaded the "Nothing is Easy: Live at the Isle of Wight" CD. Absolutely fantastic, and if your a Tull head, the video is a must have too! The only band I have faithfully purchased material year after year...after year. Keep going Ian...we'll keep buying! Charlie
James Blunt ? Sorry, but I don't know him - is that sad or lucky :)
However, I currently have a tune in my head which is called 'annoying' and I heard it yesterday when my kids were mucking about on the computer. Well I like to share so if you all would like to join in with a really catchy tune then take a look here :

Be prepared as it WILL stay in your head :D
The gods of the music world are as follows :D
Billy Joel is a genius :D
The Beautiful South
Queen
Guns n Roses
Van Morrison
Bon Jovi
to name but a few! :D

Wasn't it Van Morrison's 60th birthday yesterday?
He mentions a street in one of his songs called Cyprus Avenue (can't remember the name of the song, I'm not a fan) but it's the next street to the one I live on. There's a useless piece of information for you!
Its called Cyprus Avenue :D
Shame on you for not being a fan :p ;)
Thats not useless info! I'm sure I will sleep better tonight knowing that LOL :D
>Its called Cyprus Avenue
Ah well, that makes sense then. I've always meant to listen to the song as I can't see what is so special about the street for it to inspire a song

Here's another bit of useless trivia for you then....the street he was born in is called Hyndford Street. It's a little ordainary terraced street a couple of hundred yards from Cyprus Avenue (which is extremely posh).
Can you tell I'm just killing time til I can go home?? :D :D
You really are bored arn't you :D
Going by the lyrics, it makes sense. Poor Vannie was totally in love with a girl on Cyprus Avenue and he wasn't good enough for her!!! :D

Aah, it all makes sense now. Thanks Balibee, you've saved me the torment of having to listen to a Van Morrison song :D :D

:p
:D
