Val,
That dog is an Alyestone BullDOGUE and should not be confused with the Olde Tyme Bulldog. Two seperate Breeds the Aylestone being either an American Bulldog in appearance, or Dogue Be Bordeaux in appearance. As these are the breeds that are used to create the Aylestone. Read my post at the bottom of that thread, then read this one
http://www.champdogsforum.co.uk/board/topic/69360.htmlThe Olde Tyme Bulldog was created by using the healthiest Bulldogs out of some of the best lines out there (I know of an Olde Tyme Bulldog whose grandfather is Living Legend and that dog has been hip scored and heart and eye tested, which is more than what some reputable Bulldog people do, as theres no known health test for the Bulldog but I belive they have just started to heart test dogs that are being bred from, which is pretty discusting as they should be hip scored and eye tested too, IMO) no breeder as yet have confirmed what other breeds have been used to create these dogs, but I have a suspicion it was mainly Bullmastiff.
These dogs are only a fraction of the cost of an English, top price I would expect is around £700 I would not pay any more than that :)
