Took him to vet last night in the end after chatting on phone to them. I was also worried because he picks up everything and eats it he had something lodged in his throat.
Vet has checked him, and of course he had stopped the coughy choke just as we left to go to vets, and the only way he could get him to do it was to squeeze his throat. Lungs, airways and tempreture were normal.
He concluded he may have the start of Kennel Cough which we will now have caught nice and early or he could have had something small and irritating lodged in his throat which he has managed to now shift, or he could have swallowed something that scratched and irritated his throat, or because of his allergies he could have had a reaction to something he ate.
Anyway he gave him antibiotic injection and anti- inflamatory injection also gave me some antibiotics to start him on tonight and I have to take him back on Monday as he may need more antis.
However he hasn't coughed once since, and he sleeps with me so I would have heard the slightest thing, so do you think I can safely assume it isn't Kennel Cough?
