
I have taken 3 Elkhounds on the train no trouble. What you should try and do is find the one and only disabled bay on thetrain and hope it isn't needed by a disabled person.
This is the only place that soesn't have tables between the seats.
The trouble with the tables is that people can't see the dogs so can either tread on them, or not notics them and get starteled when something brushes agains their legs :D
If I can't use that place I usually prefer to sit out by the loos and doors at least everyne can see the dog there and if it isn't a train that stops at every station then they can still get some rest.
My local bus company doesn't charge for dogs, but other towns I have been to charge child fare or a flat fare. Few Taxi drivers will take dogs, and apart from hair or the possibility of the dog being sick I can't see why? :D
