Hi Thanks Lesley....I'm still sore but i can cope with it, it's nothing like the pain i've been suffering for the last 4 weeks... i'm just now stuggling with the thrush down below!!! i feel sore down there been using that canestan but it aint working, i have a doctors appointment on Monday so i'll tell him about it as i've had it 2 weeks or more now.... i know what caused the thrush it was the penicillin i was given as it always causes thrush for me.
Since having this wisdom tooth out i have felt so much better and i've had the best nights sleep in a long time... i haven't been taking painkillers!!!!!!!!!!
Take care all of you, i'll be starting a fresh post in June once i've had the other 4 teeth out (lol)

Hi Kerry,
Did you try the natural yoghurt? It works, even if it is just to ease the discomfort. The tablets you swallow are good aswell. Give it a go.xxx
Thanks Tigerlily....i will buy some tomorrow do i get it from the isle where they sell the yoghurts and is it just called natural yoghurt. Take care. x

Kerry, you can also get acidophilus capsules from the health food shop, which work from the inside out so to speak. I had a friend who couldn't get rid of thrush and they worked for her.
Oh thanks Jan.... i have written that name down and i will go and get some..... i just need to get rid of this thrush as it's driving me mad!!!
I have woke up this morning with mouth ache and i think i have an infection from where he removed the wisdom tooth, i'm still using corsodyl and salty mouth washes which do help.
Take care. x
I was meant to say live bio natural yoghurt. As for the infection, you may need antibiotics to clear it up but give it a few days first, if you can cope with the pain. More antibiotics will worsen your thrush :-( Definately keep up with the corsodyl and oraldene if you can get it, that is great stuff.
xxx
Thanks Tigerlily... i will keep using corsodoyl and salty mouth washes, thats also why i'm try to manage with the mouth rinses rather than be put back on anti-biotics as i dont want the thrush to get any worse....but the soreness that i'm suffering now is nothing like the pain i was having before so i can live with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take care. x
I just wanted to say the BIGGEST thank you to all you very kind people for helping me through my tooth ache over the last few weeks!!!!!!!!!
You've all been amazing and if it wasn't for you lot i probley wouldn't be here today.
Take care all of you, and i will be back to post in June once i've have the other 4 teeth out!!!!!!!!!!
Kerry. x
Glad I could help and I am sure you will return the favour one day when it is the other way round. Take care and stick around. xxx
Tigerlily.... i will do anything i can to help anyone!!!!!!!
As i said thanks so much it meant alot to me, the pain i was in was unbearable.
Take care.

Hi Everyone.....i feel like i've had 10 rounds with Mike Tyson, my face is so swole, i can't eat.....i went to the hospital at 12.30 on Thursday, i didn't get changed for theatre until 2.15pm and i was in theatre by 2.45pm, i was actually in theatre for 2 hours because they struggled to take the wisdom tooth out that was so close to the nerve......now i have lost my feeling in my tongue, i didn't get discharged from the hospital until 8.30pm......my hands are so sore because he couldn't get the needle in my vein it took 4 attempts....at the moment i'm drinking soup through a straw :-( so Katie (tigerlily) my advice to you would be, dont have it done......i feel so crap at the moment, i'm on strong pain killers that are only taking the edge of the pain, and i'm on anti-biotics for 10 days.....my husband and kids think that its great because i can't talk lol.
Take care
love kerry xxxxx

had a half grower taken out by dentist, was pooping my pants cos i hate having anything done, didnt even need a filling till i was 14,and my mum belted me one for not taking better care of my teeth :( fantastic now tooth is out.it kept breaking through then going back, got one at other side now doing same but not as painfull so im not bothering till it is v.sore...also once had a very strange tooth growing in the middle of my roof of my mouth,if it hadnt been picked up on dental xray,i would have been a human rhino, the orthodontist said it ould have grown out my nose(nice)
on the subject of dentists though,my oh cant get on with one anywhere, unless he pays private, have been in touch with nhs direct who have been able to get him seen by the emergancy dentist, but no one to take him on,and we dont have the money for the work he needs doing...anyone know what we can do????
mel :)
Hi mel....i had the same problem with finding a dentist because the dentist that i had turned private, so i contacted nhs direct who gave me a list of nhs dentists but everyone i phoned was either private or not taking on nhs.....so i looked through the phone book and called every dentist in my area, eventually i found one :-) and now i have an appointment for September to registar, even though i have to wait 6 months to see a dentist atleast i have one now :-) i had to have a wisdom tooth removed at the dentist 3 months ago because it had a hole in it and it was so painful....but not half as bad as the pain that i'm in now :-( I do hope that your OH finds a dentist soon :-)

I feel really sorry for you all who are suffering in so much pain through your teeth. My yongest son has just been through this with his wisdom teeth and had to sit his university finals in pain. I had offered to find the money and pay for him to go privately but he wouldn't let me do it. In the end he was suffering so much (he was literally crying and banging his head on the wall) I told him he would have to go privately as he faced waiting until September/October (if he was lucky) to get them done on the nhs ( he had been waiting since January). One phone call and he had an appointment to see the surgeon the same evening and a week later he had them out. They had to break his jaw to get one out but other than being a little bit sore where this was done he is now fine.
Unfortunately I cannot help about where to go if you can't go privately but I do know they offer loans to cover this and it might be worth looking into to see if you could afford the repayments. Really none of us should have to do this after all we all pay enough taxes and national insurance each week.

Hi Sue....The reason that i'm in pain now is because i've had mine out, so hopefully once the swelling has gone down....i will feel better :-)
