Hi Bonnie,
This is not my breed but here's my gut instinct on your post - please understand, no offence intended I can assure you ;)
Responsible breeders in my own breed in the UK would not dream of allowing a puppy to be taken overseas by someone who they hadn't gotten to know over a lengthy period of time and about whom they'd been able to get references from other breeders in the same country - someone holidaying over here just at the time the litter was ready to leave would not be anything like enough time for the breeder and purchaser to develop a relationship with one another.
For what it's worth, try contacting the main breed clubs in the UK (details either from our KC website or do a search on Google). The secretaries may be able to put you onto prospective breeders and in the short time between now and your planned visit you may be able to visit some and strike a rapport - always providing you like what you see when you get here ;) If you like the stock in the UK and can form friendships with breeders here you stand a much better chance of being able to get a puppy - but even then, in all likeliehood it would be for you to import at a later date.
HTH, Good luck,
Teri :)
