Because space is limited.  They don't want to encourage hundreds of people to turn up with extra dogs but feel they do have to provide some space for those people who really have to bring their unentered dogs.

i have 2 spare passes bob 4 saturday and i will be in a blue mondeo hatchback with my jaymarx affix on the rear i should be at the showground at approx 08:40 and i will be traveling from derby

hiya my name is eric and i am entered in 2 rough collies classes at leeds and as the other person said u might be able to take dogs on the gundog day but i'm not 100% sure

You can't take your dogs into the show but they can be left in the unentered dog tent, just outside the showground.

So come on, when are we meeting up and where on Monday?  The imports are third in the ring I think, I'm hoping to go tomorrow and stay at the campsite with a couple of my friends.

Can't wait to see some of you and put some faces to their names :d  I'll be there with Ickle Man and his nearly 11 year old grandmother.  Oh they are Spanish Water Dogs by the way!!
