
Yes inform the kennels, no, most probably don't insist on Intrac vaccine because it only protects against "Bordatella" one type of kennel cough.

It is worth knowing kennel cough can be incubated for up to around 11 days BEFORE a dog coughs, however it remains infectious before and after that period. So, its quite possible that the kennels do not have coughing dogs there and may not be aware of it. If a dog only went in for a few days or so, she/he could of picked up the virus prior to boarding and has in fact infected the whole kennel!! Not saying it was in this case but it is very possible. If the dog was covered on insurance whilst boarding, check the dog is not covered for a short time after leaving, the kennels may be able to pay any vet bills.
