If he turned away someone who's entries had not been received he was breaking the KC rules
They are quite clear, a second entry form & fee is paid the dog is shown & the matter is reported to the KC who are the
onlyauthority who can disqualify a dog from the competition.
If the person had a POP(proof of posting)then they will keep whatever awards the dog wins
The exhibitor has the right to compete & the kennel club has the right to disqualify if no evidence of posting is produced
The exhibitor who was turned away should have complained to the KC & even if they did not have POP the secretary would be censured at the very least
I run a breed & obedience show & have done for many years & have also had my entries not recieved & I always have a POP & have never not been allowed to show my dog
I do wish that some secretaries would check the rules before they act. The secretary has to have a cuurent copy of the KC rules n regs(issued free each year to the secretary I get two LOL)
SAE are just not needed & add to the work secretaries have to do when entries close
