Hi Katrina

I am considering a black GSD bitch from Bozeta and heard that you have one of Graham's pups.  I was hoping you could let me know how you are getting on with her / him? and basically any other info at all.

Thanks
Jayne

Also do you have any other dogs?  We currently have a 2 year 2 month old neutered male GSD who is just starting to come into his own.  We have had an uphill struggle with him as he is high drive and will push you to the limit but he is settling down and is now a lovely dog who we do agility and obedience with.  I'd welcome any comments on the dynamics of having two dogs as I want to do right by everyone!

Thanks

Hi Jayne, I ont know that much about that breeder but he does things right from what I see from his web site ie hips etc,, my advise to you is have you got adequate facilities to seperate your dog and bitch when she comes into season, if not you will have a right carry on I used to have 1 male shepherd with females,  when they were in season he used to tear down doors in order to get to them, therefore as much as I like males I only have females now its so easier, do you plan to breed from your new baby in time if so your dog might not be a suitable stud for her so you might have problems there also, but on a positive side I have never only had 1 Gsd there has always been at least 3 of them I believe they need  the company of others of their kind But it will be harder when you have them out unless they are perfectly trained ie much prefering to muck about with each other sometimes rather than listen to you whatever you decide to do, think carefully and GOOD LUCK let us all know what you decide to do

Hi Jayne

Sorry I haven't replied before, I didn't see your message.

Our girl has just turned 1 year old, and is a super dog. She is very lively, and very loving. She's bold and outgoing, confident and loves everybody (too much sometimes). We have of course done the whole nine yards on socialising her with people, sights, sounds, experiences and other dogs (being that she's a GSD!). She's also a beautiful looking dog. She has just reached the 'Kevin' stage of adolescence (which is fun - not) but that's pretty usual. She's also doing the 'baby' agility with my husband, which she loves. So far she seems very healthy.

We chose Bozeta partly because we met one of their black dogs out on a walk, and I asked the woman where she got him, because he was gorgeous and healthy. I'd already seen Graham's website, but hadn't made any decisions. That dog is China's (our girl) uncle!

I was very happy talking to Graham and Sandie, and the way we were allowed to spend loads of time with them looking at the pups. He also followed up with us a week after we took her home, to see how things were, and has stayed in touch ever since. We send him photo's from time to time as well. We went to a GSD rally in the summer, and Graham was judging the novelty classes, so had a chance to see China at just over 6 months old. It put him in a novel position judging as you can imagine!

We had two other dogs when we got her, one 10 years old (bitch) and one 14 year old (boy). She adored them both. We've since lost the oldie, and so just have the two now. She does try it on occasionally to boss my older dog, but hasn't managed to get away with it yet. She has her head on our laps at this moment! stopping me typing! She's incredibly nosy.

If you do get a pup, let me know - I'd love to hear how you're getting on.

Hope this helps
