Hi

You are reading the wrong sort of things , or , being given the wrong information somewhere , or trying to cause trouble on the board !

Dogs that come from Psycho lines are infact Irish Staffs.

NOT Pit Bulls.
- By gaz [gb] Date 01.10.03 16:13 UTC
I think I read it in a telegraph artical. Maybe the article intentionally tried to suggest that psycho was a pit bull.

Here some of the text:

It's referring to a conversation the reporter had with a breeder.

He added that the word "Psycho" referred to a notorious pit bull type of
fighting dog of the 1980s from which his litter was descended. Psycho
defeated three other dogs in fights lasting for up to two hours before
meeting its match in a dog called Stormer. More than £6,000 of bets were
placed on the fight.

Just asking. I have the full artical if you want.

Psycho was an ISBT and he did indeed fight .

Who gives a toss what the papers say. At the time APBTs were banned the papers said that it was drug dealers and thugs that owned them. I may have a smoke now and then and I can certainly handle myself if I have to, but Im no drug dealer or thug. If you beleive what the press say without question then in my humble opinion there is something lacking in your life or your head.
mick

Better watch or Ill turn you all into druggys and beat you all up.

the reason (especially in this case) that people end up taking what is said in the papers as fact is soley down to the lack of other information available.

Personally, if it wasnt for people like yourself and a few others that have a genuine interest and real experience with ISBT, APBT's etc all i would have had to formulate my opinions on would have been the anti articles etc that the net & newspapers are full of.

There are quite a few dedicated sites now to pitbulls and the like and I dont mean the stupid idiot sites - I mean ones who do genuinely care for the breed .
try http://www.pitbullpress.com/ARTICLES/ARTICLES.HOME.html

I just wondered cos his favourite links section are to some sites that appear to promote the fighting of these dogs!
- By Dawn B [gb] Date 02.10.03 05:54 UTC
Dog fighting is still perfectly legal in many countries, although I would never take part in such activities, I must admit to being facinated by the dedication to training etc... these people do in order for their dogs to fight, only to get them chewed up! Must be something missing?
Dawn.
