Hello Rachael.

The pure bred PJRT should be entirely white OR predominately white with TAN, LEMON,or BLACK markings OR any combination of these markings, preferably confined to the HEAD and/or ROOT OF THE TAIL.

To be honist there are thousands of small terriers around that are called Jack Russells, very few of them are, because they are small terrier cross breeds or multi cross breeds, that have the basic white background to the coat. Parson Russell Terrier are not so small as some of those being called JRT's, Parson's are often 14" tall and the colour is predominantly white, the colour if any prefered to be on the head and/or base of tail.

Would not worry what your dog is, if you love it, give it any name you like.
