Good evening all
I dont know if you all will remember me but i asked for advice 5 months ago about
having a Rottweiler as a first time owner and me and my partner chose the Eurasier as we were told here to go for an easier breed.
A lot has happened since then we went to meet a local eurasier breeder as well as speak to the breed club.
They were lovley dogs with wonderful temperments and characters but all i could think of was the Rottweiler , i kept thinking these are lovley dogs but there not the Rottweiler. My heart is truly taken by the Rottweiler and as much as they were lovley they are not for me.
Then before Christmas i split with my partner and i have found a place of my own.
I have decided that i would prefer to gain the experience needed to own such a powerful breed and am volunteering in my local dog rescue by walking and feeding and am thinking of being a puppy walker so i can gain experience with an easier breed but without owning that breed and after being in the world of dogs for a few years and i have got a few years under my belt of experience i will then get to know people in the Rottweiler world and spend as much time as possible around Rottweilers before i get my own.
Unfortunately i ended up slipping on ice at the end of January and had fractured my left leg and am not able to do my voluntary work at the moment but once ive recovered I'll be back walking the dogs which i actually really miss.
I wanted to update as im so thankful to all who helped me 5 months ago.
Since im bored stuck at home and im dog crazy if you have any good book or video reccomendations on dog behaviour id be thankful
