I had planned a last litter from my champion bitch to a new import, and also was planning tontake her champion daughter to Finland for mating, she had missed to an older UK based dog, and was too closely related to available young dogs.
The plans would have meant Mum (just shy of 7) would have reared her litter before we went abroad.
What happened, Mum was 2 months late with her season, which promptly brought daughter in season a month early.
As Mum had not been easy to mate, and daughter had missed, I decided to go with both plans, hoping one would come off.
Result 2 December born litters, 4 days apart!!!
