
I think I've tried every available spot on and collar and the only thing that truly kills deer ticks on our lot is bravecto, anything else is just a waste of money.
I appreciate that lots of people use alternatives and never have a problem, but I suspect that's more to do with the area and the type of coat the dog has.
My whippet friends don't use anything and walk in the same places as I do and only pick up the very occasional tick (like once a year or less), if mine aren't treated they can have 10+ ticks on them after a walk, clearly the long soft coat makes easy climbing for the little blighters!
Is this the toy poodle? I would imagine that coat would be easily scaleable for ticks

Edited to say I know you are worried about fleas and ticks, but I've never had fleas in decades of dog ownership, ticks are the greater menace for me
