You'd find the temperature fluctuates, going up and down. It's when it drops and stays down that you should be able to expect labour to start within 24 - 48 hours. I counted from the first mating with mine, but it's when conception takes place that matters and that may not for immediately. Again once labour starts, strong contractions and pushing hard but getting nowhere that I involve my vet. Each delivery. I'm afraid provided she's ok with no abnormally nasty discharge (or pushing!), you just have to sit it out. I don't think a vet would tell you otherwise and I'd certainly not want to take a pregnant bitch in (stress/risk of infection) until things have really started. Just clear any appointments you have so you, or somebody, is with her 24/7, for now.
