Don't give them anything you mind getting chewed.
I always thought vetbed was chew proof until my now almost 13 year old decided to turn several pieces into doilies, still have a piece with a hole the size of a biscuit in the middle.
Up to then I used to always send the existing vet bed off with puppies to their new homes and buy new, but now the puppies get new and I can see how well the old lasts.
My heavy duty green back Profleece pieces are still going strong over 13 years later.
Some of the non slip ribbed backed stuff quite quickly goes flat and tatty, though the better quality (higher priced heavy duty deluxe version ones from Profleece are better).
Ordinary backed fleece lasts best, but the extra thick stays the course.
other than that I have the hard plastic beds, but the most recent pup has done quite the job chewing the edges fo my kitchen beds.
I never have any squishy beds as invariably by the time the youngest is beyond chewing in an other year I am likely to have another pup.
