Well my poor friend who had a puppy visitor on Sunday let her stud dog out the garden gate (see post on missing Elkhound in Scotland), was to finally get her visit today after a year.
She's in absolute bits, no sign of the dog anywhere. She just could not face a visit and she and her sister rang the ABS person due to visit and got quite a lot of negative feedback about wasting their time and the expense incurred.
Worst was the comment that obviously the previous visit saying dogs needed more training was right!!!
Obviously the guy has never heard of independent hunting breeds, or a dog of any breed doing a 'runner'.
We are talking about a stud dog, who may have got wind of a bitch, it's the middle of nowhere, and the idiot went out to his car to get photos of his previous dog, leaving both front door and gate open, while she was busy talking to the wife. They had been told to be careful with door and gate. Her two tots can follow the rules for goodness sake.
Anyone in the North or Scotland could you please share on Facebook etc, she's getting desperate, as ti looks more and more likely that someone has taken him in and plans to keep him.
She's checked with Road and Rail Agencies for him being picked up killed.
