I know people aren't dogs - obviously. But humans are the most numerous,
randomly bred species on the planet. And according to those who denigrate pedigree dogs, therefore we should be healthier. But this isn't true.
Researchers have been studying human differences in longevity, heredity and predisposition to disease for decades. Twin studies are considered the gold standard, since identical twins have identical genes, and both fraternal and identical twins are likely to have near identical nurture. Yet researchers aren't finding what they expected regarding health and longevity.
