Have been looking into buying some Slippery Elm Bark powder to keep in my medicine cupboard. Has anyone had a bad experience with it? Sounds like just the thing for upset stomachs!

those of you who use it, where do you purchase? It isn't cheap but a small amount will go a long way.

Thanks
Tanya

Slippery Elm cn be bought from CSJ, we stock it and it's one of the best sellers from the range.  The RRP is circa £12.50

I get mine from Hilton Herbs.  I don't keep it in the medicine cupboard.  I use it daily.

I have a toy breed that can get the squits if they eat something they shouldn't.  I use far less Protexin since I started using it a couple of years ago.  Just a sprinkle on the food is enough for my small dogs.

Many years ago we used to keep Slippery Elm from Dorwest "just in case". Now I'd rather use Protexin Pro-kolin+, so easy to administer as I find with our breed that if they have an upset tummy they don't want food.

Yes, I do always have Prokolin in the cupboard.

The Slippery Elm information I found on the internet has been posted below:

Thanks for the replies, glad to know it won't have a negative side effect.
