I believe the title of the video was in error. The point of the clip is to show that the dog was not aggressive.

Absolute disgrace. This poor animal did not stand a chance. I have read somewhere that Channel 4? are to do an investigative programme into Belfast City Council and the way that this has been handled but cannot now find the link. The lies that have been told about this dog just makes me feel sick to the heart.

Also read that Belfast City Council telephone staff are making silly animal noises down the phone when reporters telephone. How good are they!!! They most certainly should be looked into.

''So who was the expert that assessed him and how did he come to the conclusions of the dogs unpredictability ?''

The family had three expert witnesses go in. The first being Madeleine Forsyth.  The family considered her evidence so damning, it wasn't used in court.
I found her details easy enough on the internet, I'm sure she will be more than happy to clarify for others should anyone wish to contact her.

Okay can you fill me in?
So far I know of several independent people who had access to Lennox -
Peter Tallack
Sarah Fisher
David Ryan

Where does Madeleine Forsyth figure in this, as this is the first time I have heard the name? Are you saying she was also an assesor? and whatever her conclusion was (good or bad) why has her name not been mentioned before?

I'll put this into my email to Dispatches.

This whole case has seemingly been badly handled by BCC from beginning to end and in addition to this poor dog losing his life for no apparant justifiable reason, the worse thing is the helplessness felt by ordinary decent people to do anything to prevent it.

I re-watched the video of David Ryan and the female worker with this dog and there is no evidence of aggression.  If Lennox's behaviour changed over time no doubt it was due to the conditions he was kept in and the treatment he was subjected to while in their care for 2 years.

But just how does the man in the street do anything about such glaring gross injustice?  How does anyone stop people in power who are seemingly abusing their position of power?  What sanctions/punishment/retribution can be applied to BCC?  How do you make people like these who don't have a conscience act with any integrity?

It's all so futile and that's what I find so crushing - the sense of uselessness and hopelessness. This council dis-enabled anyone who wanted to act in support of this dog and refused to listen to all the experts brought in.  A truly shocking example of abuse of power by those elected to serve the people who elected them.

Dispatches have said that if enough people e-mail them then they will look at doing a programme into the treatment and outcome of what Belfast City Council have done

I am not a lover of  Bull Breeds (sorry if I offend anyone, each to their own) but I am certainly opposed to anyone seizing a dog, or a cross without any evidence of aggression and then subjecting it to two years imprisonment away from its loving family and then when they decide that his time is up to deny the family one last cuddle and comfort is just disgraceful. I actually believe that this poor boy has not been with us for a lot longer than BCC say and that this case is a complete cover up. Lord help us, where will it stop otherwise. Feel sorry for any dog owner that lives in Belfast I would be worried for my dogs. Nothing can bring this poor boy back to his family but at least they may get justice for him and show BCC for what they are, heads should roll.

''Okay can you fill me in? ''

Peter Tallack mentions the first behaviourist that went in during the radio interview that went out this morning, her evidence was NEVER submitted to the courts, he goes into a few details during the interview.
