I watched live streaming from the world Show last year and saw Azawakhs on there for the first time.
My first impression was they are taller than they are long - an unusual shape compared to most breeds... they were almost rectangular heightwise compared to length.
I have looked at the standards for Sloughis versus Azawakhs and see they are meant to be of equal height and weight; but the Azawakhs are far shorter in body length in regard to leg length which gives them their unusual rectangular shape, almost like a sighthound on stilts.
