On my walk today in the sunshine I saw many flowers already mentioned, but also many lesser pasture flowers.
Speedwell
Eyebright
Archangel
Periwinkle
Pennycress
and some grasses I couldn't put a name to, but looking in my book they have names like Melick, Fescue, Timothy, Catstail, Cocksfoot, Galingale, Marram and Reedmace.
And don't forget Ramsons and Solomons Seal, both plants that grow alongside bluebells in ancient woodland. There will be Meadowsweet, Agrimony, Melilot, Restharrow, Hawksbeard, Knapweed and Yarrow later on.
When you run out of native herbs, try looking at the common names of butterflies and moths, they have come very colourful and unique names :)
