Sorry to read she has had another stillborn pup, may they RIP.

I hope she has done now. It must be harder to see pups in a larger breed, with mine you can clearly see the pups which need to travel down from by the ribs.

Congratulations on the pups that have arrived.  I am so sorry that you lost 2.  Here's hoping that your girl thrives.  Good Luck.

Thanks everyone , I took her to the vets this morning along with puppies for a check up. Like myself the vet could feel something inside but it didn't feel like a pup , I was worring thinking there maybe a decomposing pup inside so the vet thought an x ray would be best . It turned out clear so must be thick tissue we were feeling .
On the way out of the surgery she started to leak green discharge so I turned around and went back to see what the vet thought , she said it was quite normal afterwards but my past experience it has always been dark red and blood coloured. So she is fine in herself but won't eat anything other than human food , the little tinker :)

Green discharge is seen when a placenta separates from the uterine wall ( hence a big worry if seen before any pups have been delivered) so what you felt was probably a retained placenta which would not show up on Xray as it doesn't contain any bones, did the vet give her an injection to empty the uterus of anything left behind.

I hope you got some antibiotics to stave off any infection, if not then keep a very close eye on her, first signs of abnormal smell/discharge she needs to get back to the vets pronto.

My girls won't eat normal dog food after whelping so I add broth,  cottage cheese, goats milk or yoghurt to the kibble and it goes down well

Hope all settles down now.
