Thanks so much for your response. Luckily our vet is a homeopathic vet, and has prescribed among other things milk thistle. The CV247 is not a conventional treatment, and is not proven, but is not harmful in any way. There are only 8 vets listed who are open minded enough to offer it, and our vet is one of them. The way I see it is so long as it can do no harm it's worth a try.
She too has been told that there is nothing they can do to save her boy, other than possibly chemo which she will not do under any circumstances. What she is hoping for is something to (maybe) slow the progression, and to make sure that his time here from now on is comfortable, and is good quality.
