yes we have thought about Belle (from beauty and beast film) and also Bella but the boys weren't keen...I loved them though, as (you might have guessed :D) I love them all.. :) we now have Meg (from Hecules film) I eally must stop buying disney films.. oh Disney....would that work??..ooh ooh

was just called by the breeder, my puppy has enlarged heart at the vet check today, cant be homed...I cant say anymore, I am just so sad....

I'm so sorry this has happened to you, but as someone who lived with a dog with a heart problem better to find out now than later and know the dog is on borrowed time. I didn't find out until I'd had mine for a few months and was too attached to return him. He had a restricted life and I lost him at 3yrs.

thank you I am feling really upset right now, as not only did I get attached to the pup I thought I was going to have, but I thought her breeder was lovely and I so wanted her to be the breeder of my pup..

sorry to hear about it lynsey :( -at least the breeder was honest and upfront about it all, and as the rest have said, it saves heartache later, more so when kids are involved, let me know what breed youre looking for, where you are etc, i'll see if i can help

I've just got ont this post now...I'm really sorry you have had all that joy snatched away from you so suddenly BUT at least you contact from a very responsible breeder who had checked the puppy first, found the abnormality and then informed you and not tried to pull a fast one and palm off a sickly pup on you.....because that would have given so much heartache in the future.

Your little bundle of joy will come along soon, as the old saying goes "What's meant for you will not got past you!"Fingers crossed for you and keep a hold of those names!!! :)

Sounds like a very responsible breeder, stick with hwer. In a few days she will probably be happy to put yopu onto another good breeder, as breeders tend to network! Perhaps the pups Dad has sired another litter recently?

Breeder called Lynsey to notify her that her puppy has an enlarged heart and doesn't have long to live, so she'll be remaining with the breeder until the day she goes to the Rainbow Bridge.. :( :(

breeder said was unsure how long pup would be well I am sure she is looking into more for the pup and is keeping her safe with her, where I know the puppy will have the utmost care and love.

How you doing today? Any better? You vanished so quickly, so I didn't think to say anything to you. My apologies. Don't give up hope!!!! The puppy/dog who is meant to be with you is still waiting out there somewhere :) :D :)

I'm so sorry about the puppy, but I agree with those who say it's best to discover this problem now before getting really attached wish shared experience and physical caring. It's hard now to cope with this, but it's truly heartbreaking to lose a young dog that you've had to love for weeks/months/years. :( :( Especially on the kids.

To be blunt, your kids will likely take this setback and puir puppy better than you do...especially if you just put it within a 'matter of fact' situation couched with some some softness about "these things happen to animals". They'll take your lead and it might not be as emotional for them as it is for you because they never had the puppy.
