We went last year and the sun shined on the non show days and it poured down on show days. Take a gezebo so you have some shelter from rain...or sun!!! and expect to share it, Get there early to get a decent place round the ring. There are areas cordened off for gazebo's next to the rings. when the rain comes down you'll have a crowd!! And be prepared to stand in the ring with your beautifully prepared dog in torrential rain, They just keep judging throughout it. LOL. It is all outside and as has been said like a open show in UK. Everyone is very friendly and we had a great time.
The judge will look at each dog and give out his Grades (You get a small card with the grade on it) so you could have all the dog in the class graded Excellent. Then he once he has seen all the dogs and graded them he wil place you. If you win your class and have an excellent grade then you go for the challenge for the green star.
However if you win a class with less than an excellent you cannot challenge.
Oh and they do the best Breakfasts in the world!! the catering is superb.
Have fun

PS between my friend and I we took 4 dogs and came home with 3 green star bitches 3 BOB's 4 best puppies and 1 Green star dog. Not too bad!!!!
