After my last dog died from his booster aged 3 I was desperate to keep my next dog/dogs safe and although not against vaccinations to protect animals and people I believe that we can and do quite often over vaccinate.
So when I had my next puppy (who is now 4yrs 3mnths) I contacted a specialist at Glasgow uni to ask the best way to protect my dog and he recommended the following:
1) only one shot of parvo/distemper is necessary as soon after 12 weeks as possible (apparently if given any earlier then it cancels out the maternal antibodies and this is the reason two shots are usually given).
2) to wait until 2 weeks after and have the first shot for lepto - and 2 weeks after that to have the 2nd shot for lepto.
He then advised to have a titre test when boosters are due at 12 months of age and then yearly after that - but his opinion was that if the dog has immunity at the time of the first booster then that immunity would remain maybe 7 years and over.
I have found that if my dogs need to go into kennels then some kennels will take the certificate with the titre reading showing immunity (as they do for the rabies vaccine) and some will also take vaccine certificate signed by the vet who has administered the nosodes. So no need to pump harmful chemicals into our dogs year on year - weakening their immune systems.
By the way, I do feed raw but unlike Nova, I never thought the two were connected?
Also, I'm not sure the people who don't vaccinate don't because they rely on people that do, I think they probably don't bother because of ignorance or lack of care.
I also think the way that nosodes work is very similar to the way a conventional vaccine works - and my homeopathic vet (who also practices conventionally) advised me that nosodes should be given as a preventative.
