I know this discussion has come up many times about what to do who to chose and is it worth it.
Just thought I would like to give my positive experience in this area. I have been having some problems with my gsd behaviour around other dogs and have sought advice from one or two different people and a few different training classes over 2 years now. Most recently I have found that my APDT group trainer has given excellent advice and I have now topped that up with more one-one work with a lady who is a member of APBC .
In this consultation she spent about 3 hours with me and my dog including a walk with us of about half an hour to seehis behaviour first hand. I was left with a summary of suggestions and then received a full report a week later which is very detailed and straight forward and also practical for our lifestyle. She offers free email or phone back up as often as I need it.I am am now going to send her a video of us out on a walk for her to get further ideas about us.
I hope this is of use to anyone considering this route as I know I have spent a lot of money looking around for the right person and soloution.
The bottom line of course is the difficulties may not go away completeley and also how much time I can put into following the plan with effect the results but I am ging to try.. Shame my dog cant read the plan too LOL
