Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Why is it - Beta?

Why do you think so many puppies arrive at their new homes eating Beta puppy, and yet hardly anyone has a good word to say about the adult version?

Is it that the puppy Beta is of a better quality than the adult?  My dogs breeders, both different, used it for puppies and adults.

My Labs adore it, and I'm feeding it with tinned Chappie and don't seem to have a problem with the output.  (Not always easy to tell exactly whats coming out the other end as they mainly do it in the bushes in the woods!!)

Just wondering really..............

Maybe it is easier to wean puppies on that particular brand of complete food?  Once you have them eating solid complete it makes it easier to change onto another one I would guess.

Bata is a big seller so clearly people do rate it.  I think the negative posts can be disproportionate because generally people that are happy with something do not post on the internet.  Infact, most of the negative posts I have read are by people who have a "theory" that it is not good as opposed to actually trying it :-)
I have used it through all the phases and my 14 year old is currently thriving on the Senior version.
Extremely well tolerated by all the dogs and puppies I have given it to and no problems at the other end either.  Poos are not what I would say is excessive but not too small to cause problems with anal glands or constipation either, which was experienced by a previous dog that I tried on "low output" foods.

I have tried loads of different dried foods, and it's the only one that the fussier of my two really really loves.  I was on the verge of giving up totally with dried food for him, but he wolfs the Beta like there's no tomorrow.   Perhaps he remembers it from puppyhood.

He eats it like a proper Labrador!!

My danes love it - first food I have found in 6 years that they have been happy on and finally Willis, aged 7, is putting on weight!

Beta give us good breeder packs thats why, to be honest. Actually my pups do thrive on Beta and I feed my dogs on beta pup puppy/junior until they are a year old.
