Mine was my 3rd choice and is a combination of one of my dogs names and the Cumbrian dialect for home.

I got my first choice.  I think it was easier years ago as there were a lot less kennel names in total.

I applied for mine years ago when I was still free and single (well divorced from hubby no1 ;-) ) My partner and I got our first choice. I then left him and asked him if I could have the affix. he refused. :-( It took years to get him to change his mind. I was in the process of looking for a new one for myself when he finally decided he had no use for it and agreed to let me have it. If I had waited another month I could have re-applied for it anyway :-D as he hadn't kept up the yearly payment for a few years.

Thanks for that link, Angela.

I've just spotted that someone is applying for the affix Ridgebow, which is already an affix in Sweden.  Does the KC worry about that?
