Tonight at 7pm he will eat chocolate for the first time in a year!!!!!!!!!
Why?????? He saw something on TV this time last year and said 'I can do that'!!!! So did LMAO
He had sweets instead of easter eggs. Sweets instead of selection boxes.
I am off later to buy a box of Thorntons Chocolate for him at 7. And my Aunty bought him a chocolate 'plaque' saying 1 year chocolate free!!!!!

he should have done it for a charity! would have raised a fortune!! :)  i could do it if i lived miles away from shops and other people, dont go out my way to buy chocolate, but if someone offers me some, or at christmas etc where its everywhere then i will eat it.

If I had to do it for a medical reason I could, but there is no way I would volutarily give up chocolate! I gave up coffee for 1 year which was hard to start with, but got easier with time. I wonder if it would be the same with chocolate? Hmmm :-)

No I couldn't do it, well not unless I could substitue it for cakes etc, I guess I could then, but I'd probably be the size of a horse instead. :-D

I've never found chocolate fattening, I generally have a bar a day, (very naughty) I would really miss it.

All I can say is well done to your son, you must be so proud that he has such will power, it's quite extraodinary, gosh shame you can't put that on his future CV, I would be very impressed that he has such staying power. ;-)

I could do it i think, as i am not really a chocolate fan to be honest, never really eat it and nor do i crave it, although saying this, started my diet around a week ago and last night i haad a HUGE craving for chocoalte!! So i had a bag of buttons out of my unopened selection box (not many calories etiher ha ha) and felt relieved after it!! Hope he enjoys his choccy from thorntons!! Good choice lol!! :-D

I actually gave it up for a while when I was eating several large bars a day but was very soon looking for more. I now only eat the occasional bar and usually only when my body tells me to :-)

6 years and counting guys... i get chronic migraine and my main trigger is chocolate so i gave it up. cheese to.

I don't eat much chcolate but when I need chocolate I need it NOW! so no I couldn't, but well done to him x

Same here Astarte, although I was never totally convinced chocolate, or cheese for that matter, were a contributory factor for my migraines. It must be well over 10 years since I last ate chocolate, and I was a real chocoholic!

for me it was clearly a corrolation between eating it and  them starting. they are now practically gone through that and some medication. totally worth it though, it was getting so bad!

My cousin is just the same - she gets really poorly from eating chocolate. Of course I totally forgot this at Christmas so what did I get for her?? A big tub of Terrys chocolate orange mini's of course!! (we need a rolleyes smiley!)

Lea I have much admiration for your son and I hope he enjoys his chocolate tonight! I dont think I could give up chocolate for that long, but I am more of a fan of crisps - still, I am doing well - its now 4 days and no crisps - now that is good for me! :-D

Chocolate, yes.  I just wouldnt eat cookies, or pancakes anymore!
