Ooh, where to start.. I'd like, a Newfoundland, Bernese, Vizla, Chihuahua, Bichon, Long haired GSD, and obviously the time, money and space to look after them!! :-D
- By molezak [gb] Date 22.12.08 10:30 UTC
Really wish I could have an American Cocker to show again but can't cope with the coat, 2 toddlers & 10 other dogs! I envy all you with Yankees!  Kay x

there are so many different breeds that i would love to own one day , but cannot really see that happen , on a couple of occasions over the last two years i could of had another breed i.e a lhasa or tibetan spaniel , lowchen and even a portuguese podengo , but each time my heart has ruled and i think it truely belongs to tibetan terriers .although i think  i will get a tibetan spaniel in a year or so ,

When I win the lottery I'm going to have loads more of what we already have, Goldens, BC and Shelties, then I'm going to get every rescue GR and BC I can and Shelties if there are any.

Then to ice the cake I'm going to have RC's and Beardies with a sprinkling of Papillons and a dash of Whippets. Maybe a few more rescue parrots and a couple of Shetland ponies.

Oh and a gardener that wears cut off levi's and spends the day bare chested :)
- By hairyloon [gb] Date 22.12.08 11:35 UTC
Well if this is a wish list and we can assume no restrictions on time, money, dogs getting on etc... I would have Boxers, Hamiltonstovare, at least 2 rescue Greyhounds, a couple of Border Terriers, maybe a St Bernard, a French Bulldog, at least 1 mastiff type breed (not sure which one) and a few horses too!! :-D

> If only I had a 10 acres of garden

Dreaming of the above 10 acres I guess we would have a number of Rotti's, our Fudge maybe a Mastiff x but we have definitely fallen for the Mastiff breed in a big way, we generally prefer bigger breed dogs, I have also been quite taken by the English Bull Terrier.
So I think on the list would of course be Rotti's, and a couple of Mastiff's, not to sure which type I would choose, maybe English perhaps a Bull Mastiff or even a D.D.B oh heck why not one of each, it is a wish list after all, and we have got a dreamy 10 acres lol :-) then a couple of E.B.T's and I've always wanted Dalmations! There are probably a lot more breeds we'd love to own, and if money was no object I'm sure we could rid a few resue centres of some of there occupants. ;-)

Why stop at one it would be a very large house with extensive grounds and probably a pool so at least three LOL

> for me a malamute- i think they are gorgeous, lovely characters but way way to active for my activity levels.

Have to agree with you there - a Malamute :-D They look FANTASTIC :)
When looking into what dog to get, I fell in love with the Mal, I tried to kid myself for a while that I could change to make one fit in with us but I had to be honest with myself in the end, I'm not sure I would be able to permantly keep up all the requred changes in activity levels :(

>i'd also have most molossers going but frankly who has the space?

That would be lovely, a complete collection of molossers :) All we'll need is a mansion (& a wet-suit for the slobber) - so it'll have to wait for a lottery win!

lol, i keep having sneaky thoughts about "but maybe if we got a rig and i learned how to use one...no! fat and lazy!! cannot have malamute!"

the OH is madly in love with them after a couple decided he was their best friend at crufts and tried to steal him lol

see theres the problem, i'd look daft in a wet suit :)

to narrow it down to my faintly realistic wish list... frenchies, mastiffs, tibetan mastiffs and a bulldog to finish it off. oh, and liams wish list of gsd, boxer, akita.

might get a eurasier to, love the way they look lol.

and perhaps a pug.

Kim we have SUCH similar taste!!!! The only one on there I wouldn't fancy would be the tibetan mastiff...not sure why. And I have the bully and mastiffs!!! You need to come live at my house!!!:-D
- By Astarte Date 22.12.08 17:52 UTC

- By AliceC Date 22.12.08 21:28 UTC
Well I have a fat lazy Malamute...she would much rather lounge about all day than pull a rig !! I have to say I have never met a dog with as much personality as our Samoui - she is one of a kind, she can be a little madam but can also be sooo sweet at times. I would love another Mal. I went to visit Samoui's breeder a few months ago and absolutely fell in love with one of her girls...so I would like to add her to my wish list as well please :-D
- By Pinky Date 23.12.08 08:21 UTC
Now Diane that's greeder but I second that emotion :):)
- By yorkies4eva [gb] Date 23.12.08 12:39 UTC
I would possibly have an Irish Red Setter, think they are stunning dogs, but just there coat that would put me off a little, and i would also love to have a whippet, i never understood these dogs but having seen a few at shows this last year i think they are stunning dogs!!
- By Polly [gb] Date 23.12.08 12:47 UTC
Definately something I have been interested in for a long time like Curlycoats or Sussex spaniels, then if I couldn't have them any of the following: maybe a rescue English springer or cocker working lines, a wirehaired Vizsla perhaps or a Parson Jack Russell or a border collie, (ISDS reg). Actually to hell with it! I'll have them all!!!! lol
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 23.12.08 12:52 UTC
All the Irish Red-and-whites that I've met have been gorgeous, so I'm very tempted by them. For many years (I think I first made enquiries with a breeder about 10  years ago) I've fancied a Lagotto, but I'm told they're vocal and dig, so that's put me off somewhat. A not-too-profusely coated cocker (show type) would be nice, and a border terrier, and a kooikerhondje, and a .....
- By LurcherGirl [gb] Date 23.12.08 13:51 UTC
Whatever lifestyle I have (provided it is suitable for those breeds) I will always have the Salukis (or saluki crosses) and American Cockers, couldn't be without them.

But would also love a Great Swiss Mountain Dog, a St. Bernard, a Papillon, Standard Poodle, Azawakh...

Aside from the Newfs, I'd quite like a Rottie and an Akita Inu and OH has been making noises about a Tibetan Mastiff as 'his' choice of dog which I am secretly delighted about as I love them but am doing the girl thing of letting him think it was all his idea when really I planted the seeds sometime ago ;-)

And for those of you on this thread who have said they would like a Newf, you're welcome to this one.  I'll even chuck in the laptop but you'll have to provide her with the broadband ;-)
- By Granitecitygirl [eu] Date 23.12.08 14:50 UTC
Yaaaaaaayyy!!!! I'm sure DHL do next day delivery.  Not sure she'll fit under my tree though.

By the time she has removed all the ornaments and the lower branches, she'll fit ok
- By ShaynLola Date 23.12.08 14:54 UTC
HG, I believe she may have been e-mailing Storm to further their bid for world domination...you might want to check your internet history ;-)
- By rw3272 [gb] Date 23.12.08 17:54 UTC
I will always have a spinone (or two) in my life but if I had a lot of land and a large house I would add an Irish Wolfhound too.  I like my dogs big and whiskery!
- By Archiebongo Date 23.12.08 19:17 UTC
I'll always have gordons. My wish list would include a blanket black bloodhound (sam i love basnisky :) , a Sussex spaniel, orange or lemon roan or a black n tan cocker and a borzoi to name a few!
- By kellystewart198 [gb] Date 28.05.09 17:35 UTC
Ohhhh I'd definetly have more Huskies and Mal's....would also have Anatolian Karabas and Ovcharka's :D

I like my large breed dogs lol
- By suejaw Date 28.05.09 18:57 UTC

> Aside from the Newfs, I'd quite like a Rottie and an Akita Inu and OH has been making noises about a Tibetan Mastiff

I have Berners, love then dearly, but thinking with time and money, i have the space, i would love the above breeds. Used to sing and dance about Rottie's years ago but never allowed one, Akita is not practical, where as the Newf and the TM are real thoughts as an addition.

SL i'll happily take on a Newf, would love to scare people out of the house with drool!!! lol
- By Rhiannan M [gb] Date 08.06.09 10:16 UTC
I'd like to get another Dalmatian in a couple of years time, a boy to go with my little girl.

Other breeds I like are Weimerarners (Spelling lol), and I have always had a hankering for a Husky :)

But 2 would be the max I could accomadate really, time wise!

- By Whistler [gb] Date 09.06.09 09:10 UTC
Ditto I would love to have a field 5 sheep and someone to start us off with Jake, I would then add another BC another cocker in pure black or golden and 1 spinole for the change. Bliss!!
- By toffeecrisp [gb] Date 09.06.09 11:10 UTC
