I'm just back from a great week in the Highlands with the woofles and it's made me think that perhaps a thread suggesting good doggy holiday destinations would be helpful?
I stayed
here, quite near Loch Ness. The chalet was really roomy with a dog friendly garden. The dogs had a whale of a time with lots of fabulous walks around and a daily swim (different loch every day). Even in the height of the tourist season I found lots of beautiful, picturesque places where we were completely alone. Every time I stepped out the door of the cottage I saw some sort of wildlife. Masses of deer, hares, buzzards and a golden eagle to name a few.
The only negative point about the holiday is of course the scourge of Scotland - the
midgies! They were vicious

I went through 2 bottles of skin so soft and 3 cans of midgy spray, and still managed to get eaten alive
I'm going away for a week in November - can anyone recommend another place to stay with a fully fenced garden and miles of off road walking nearby?
