Hello - sorry I've not updated for ages, I know people like to hear how things are going on, various other problems including being ill and my father dying have made me get a bit distracted. :(
However, Duibh is doing reasonably well. :) Numerous sedations, GAs, Xrays etc later, he has had all his implants and various bits of metal work removed and can now do a lot more (he is ecstatically happy about being able to go for walks and not being shut in a cage all the time). The leg seems to have healed and he can use it, so much better news than when I thought he was going to end up a three legged flat coat. :) The only problem is that he still has a persistent limp all the time, though obviously between the stiffness and muscle wastage it will take ages to build him back to where he's been, the specialist isn't entirely happy as he thinks the limp should be improving week on week and it's just staying the same, so he's going to take another look at Duibh. But overall he's doing much much better than he was a few months ago.
